Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien Debuts First Solo Music: Listen

Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien has shared “Santa Teresa,” his first ever solo release. Check it out below, along with visuals directed by ULTRAVIOLET. The new ambient piece, credited to EOB, precedes a long-rumored solo album; O’Brien teased ”songs to come soon” on social media. Pitchfork has emailed Radiohead representatives for more information.

O’Brien, who plays guitar, tweaks effects, and sings backing vocals in Radiohead, has been talking about working on a new album for a long time now. He alluded to it in interviews surrounding Radiohead’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. O’Brien and Philip Selway were the only two members of the band who appeared at the induction ceremony.

Radiohead’s last album was 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool. Read Pitchfork’s feature “Internet Explorers: The Curious Case of Radiohead’s Online Fandom.”
