Show Me the Body Announce New Album Dog Whistle, Share New Song: Listen

New York-based hardcore trio Show Me the Body have announced a new album. It’s called Dog Whistle and it’s out March 29 via Loma Vista Recordings. The band has shared lead single “Camp Orchestra,” which arrives with a video directed by SMTB and rubberband. (the duo of Jason Sondock and Simon Davis). The song and visuals were inspired by a visit to Poland’s Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum; the title is also a reference to the Jewish orchestra groups formed in concentration camps during World War II. Check out “Camp Orchestra” below.

“This album and our music does not belong to a political party,” Show Me the Body said in a statement. “No authority, political movement, or side may claim the function of our music in this society. This album is personal. It is about and for the disenfranchised youth of this city, of this country, and of this earth. It is for our community and anyone who may find shelter within it.”

Dog Whistle, which follows 2017’s Corpus I, was produced by Chris Coady, Show Me the Body, and Gabriel Millman. The band embarks on a North American tour beginning in April. Check out SMTB’s tour poster below, and find tickets here.
